“Yesterday, the Government made a conclusion on bill on alcohol commercial prohibition, which is an initiative of an MP. The Governmental conclusion on the imitative was drafted by the Health Ministry, one of main goals of which is the care of Moldovan citizen health”, the Premier said.

 

Filat said that he, as the leader of the largest Parliamentary party in the ruling Alliance for European Integration (AEI), has a personal stand on the draft law.

 

“I state that within the bill consideration process the LDPM will make an initiative on that supposed prohibition does not apply to beer and wines commercials”, the Premier said.

 

Filat reminded of that recently the Government and the LDPM stood for supporting Moldovan wine sector, where over 100 thousand persons are employed in and on which depend other sectors of the Moldovan economy.

 

The LDPM leader also reminded that beginning on January 1, 2012, the EU autonomous trade preferences regime for Moldova comes into effect as well as a new and more sparing excise on wines will be applied.
